Recycling resumed on April 22, 2021. Recyclable material can be dropped off at the Lexington Public Works Department located at 890 Shop Road (Recycle Center Map). The material will then be moved to a larger container inside the public works compound. When full, a contractor will collect the material and reimburse the city at market rate. Public Works Crews collect cardboard from City business’s five days per week from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. All cardboard put out for collection should be clean, flattened and free of all packaging materials.  For more information contact the Public Works Department at (540)464-3601 or sdameron@lexingtonva.gov
